Working Thesis Statements

1. The way an author chooses to write, by changing their font, altering tone, or enhancing depth –adding context - can alter the reader’s interpretation, appealing to different audiences.

2. Culture is reflected through writing by altering and playing with word choices, tones, and different conventions. Within the text an author can guide their reader, demonstrating their stance and rhetoric.


3. Writing styles can affect different audiences, by using different moves, an author will manipulate conventions, tones, and stances.

    Sometimes I have trouble being specific when configuring a thesis statement. After reading yours, I could tell you know exactly what you want to prove or discuss in your paper with specific terms and concepts. It helped me out because I realized my thesis is a little too vague. I'm making my thesis more direct. Thanks!
